Gordonstoun is seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic and innovative Teacher of Design Technology to join this excellent department. The ability to teach DT from Year 7 to Year 13 is required and other subjects would be advantageous. You will be someone who will be able to enthuse students and promote the importance of Design Technology to the young people of Gordonstoun, in order to help them gain formal qualifications and aid them in taking their place as 21st century international citizens.

All candidates should be registered or eligible for registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland, as this is a condition of employment.

Design Technology at Gordonstoun

Design Technology is taught by specialist teachers and is a popular option, both at GCSE and Advanced Level. Students currently sit the AQA Design Technology (Resistant Materials) course and at A Level, students take AQA Design Technology (Product Design).

Each department has its own, well equipped and well-resourced classrooms and workshops, with a technician whose responsibility is exclusively to support that department’s teaching staff.
