It’s easy to get here
Expeditions have their place in our curriculum but getting to our school in the stunning Moray countryside isn’t one of them.
We benefit from excellent transport links to facilitate our students’ journey to adulthood.
By Air
Both Inverness and Aberdeen airports have direct flights to and from most major British cities, as well as Amsterdam, Paris and Stavanger. Car hire is easily available at both.
By Train
There are regular trains from all parts of the UK to Aberdeen and Inverness stations with regular, swift connections to Elgin from both. Gordonstoun is a beautiful fifteen minute taxi journey from Elgin station.
By Car
The drive to Gordonstoun from Edinburgh, Glasgow and the South follows the M90 and A9 to Perth. After which you follow signs to Inverness, a road which takes you up through the Highlands to Aviemore. Just after Aviemore take the A95 to Grantown-on-Spey and then follow signs to Forres. At Forres join the A96 to Elgin.
As you approach Elgin, at the Eight Acres Hotel, turn left and follow the road for one mile before turning left onto the B9012 signposted Hopeman. After four miles you’ll reach the village of Duffus. The Post Office will appear in front of you as the road bends to the left. At this point turn right into Gordonstoun Road.
From Inverness, please follow the A96 to Nairn, Forres and Elgin, and then follow the instructions above.
From Aberdeen, follow the A96 towards Inverness, through Huntly, Keith, Fochabers and Elgin. Look out for the Eight Acres Hotel on your right and follow the instructions as above.
Beware! Your Sat Nav may take you to the wrong gate.
