Gordonstoun has a vibrant theatre culture and outstanding facilities. The Ogstoun Theatre is a fully equipped modern theatre and the post offers the Director the opportunity to realise their ideas in production with a fullness rarely seen outside professional theatre. The school mounts a number of productions each year and we strive for exceptionally high standards of work.
The Ogstoun Theatre is equipped with Digital sound and lighting and all of our work is supported by a full time AV and Theatre technician who will facilitate the successful candidate in achieving their vision for performance on the stage.
The school mounts a wide variety of productions each year from large scale musical theatre to smaller student led productions. The post holder will be responsible for directing or overseeing all of the productions taking place through the year as well as managing the theatre arts building (Ogstoun Theatre) and working closely with the Head of Dance & Drama.
This is a 10 month paid appointment (September 2019 – 30 June 2020). On-site accommodation (at a small charge) is available.
