Trainee Accountant
Situated on the beautiful Moray Coast in the North of Scotland, Gordonstoun is widely recognised as the world leader in character education. We have a co-educational community of over 500 students aged from 6-18, who are predominantly full boarding and are drawn from over 40 countries.
You will work within our Finance and HR team, assisting in a variety of work over the training contract. This will include income analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, payroll, statutory returns and management accounts. As your contract progresses, you will move onto more complex areas like budgeting, forecasting and report writing.
You will bring enthusiasm to the role whilst also being an organised person who likes a challenge. You will be required to study for exams in addition to working so the ability to be self-disciplined is essential. People will recognise you as someone who is a team player and willing to get involved.
The successful candidate will be provided with training and support towards achieving a professional accountancy qualification, including funding for training courses.
You will be educated to degree level in a relevant subject such as accountancy, economics, business, law or mathematics or have completed AAT level 3.
