Legacy Giving - The Kurt Hahn Foundation
Leaving a legacy in your will is a fitting way to support a cause that you were passionate about in life, making a lasting difference, even in death. For more information on The Kurt Hahn Foundation (our legacy society) and to discuss leaving a legacy, please contact Andrew Lyall (Duffus ’88), Head of Development & Alumni on +44 (0)1343 837 922 or lyalla@gordonstoun.org.uk
Payroll Giving
Payroll Giving enables employees to give to a charity straight from their gross salary (before tax is deducted). Because the donation is taken from your gross pay, every pound you give will only cost you 80p (or only 60p if you are a higher rate tax payer). It also allows you to give more for less, as the tax that would normally be paid to the government can be gifted to the charity too.
Ask your HR or Payroll department at work if they operate a payroll giving scheme. If they do, just decide on the amount and the charity/charities that you want to donate to and inform your payroll department. Some employers also match-fund their payroll giving schemes, providing additional payments to your charity of choice, so ask about that as well!
