Head of Mathematics

The Head of Mathematics will be a sector expert and will promote academic and intellectual development across all disciplines; lead teachers in implementation of curriculum and instructional practices that result in exceptional student achievement and teaching and also be responsible for the day to day smooth running of the Mathematics Department.

The post holder will be a member of the Heads of Department committee and will be expected to promote best practice. The Head of Mathematics will manage the delivery of Mathematics at GCSE and A-level.

Operating within a well-resourced and popular department, the post holder will be required to plan, prepare and deliver engaging, challenging and fully inclusive Mathematics lessons. This will involve teaching across Years 7 to 13 up to and including A-level.
